Our February Open Study Group Meeting was full of fun, laughter, and fiber goodness!
There were many beautiful finished or near complete projects to see during Show & Tell…
handknit sweater by Sarah I. and lovely beaded bracelet by Peggy
intricate lace crocheted by Beth
gorgeous colorful lacy handknit sock by Kathleen
… and even more in progress!
will it be a bracelet? a necklace? can’t wait to see!
Kathleen making progress on “second” socks
it really pays to have more than one pair of socks on the needles! that way if you need a break of from one, there’s always the other!
Helen was knitting gorgeous textured squares for a large project
I was still trying to get the hang of brioche knitting
Marcia was hooking a rug that is truly both spectacular and adorable!
that sheep! that bird!
a lot of planning and detail go into rug hooking
it was so good to have Debbie with us! she was able to drop in for a bit, and share her plans for her next hooked rug!
exchanging knitting tips!
We had several lovely visitors drop in for knitting tips and advice! They had brought their current projects along and stayed for a while! It was so nice to meet and craft with each and everyone of them!
If you are inclined toward the fiber arts, please feel free to join us at our next Open Study Group on Saturday, March 14th. We’ll be meeting at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community, in the Game Room from 10am to 2pm and would love to meet you!
